Hey guys! Zac and Vanessa arrived back home to LA from their week-long holiday in Maui, Hawaii. I’m not gonna post pics from their vacation, gonna give them a little privacy with that! I know they hate paparazzi pictures, but here are the photos from the airport. Zac’s so sweet trying to help Vanessa hide her face!
Taylor Schilling Cast in “The Lucky One”

Ah.. this is so disappointing to me. Taylor Schilling has been cast as the female lead in “The Lucky One” according to THR.
The role was originally marketed and sought after among young Hollywood. Abbie Cornish and Katie Cassidy were both said to audition for the role which ultimately went to Taylor. Katie would have been SO much better, I really was hoping she’d get it. I’m not a big Taylor fan, I thought “Mercy” was horrible.. I’m hoping everything turns out well, but I’m not too happy right now! :[

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens went and saw Memphis: The Musical on Broadway at NYC’s Shubert Theatre on Tuesday (August 17th). Zac saw the show twice last month, too! It must be good.
Hey guys! Last night in Los Angeles Zac and Vanessa attended the Details Magazine September Issue Launch Party to celebrate his cover. I’ve uploaded photos from the event to our Gallery. If you’ll notice a few of his “17 Again” co-stars were at the event.. Sterling Knight, Leslie Mann, and Michelle Trachtenberg.. also Adam Shankman from Hairspray. I’ve seen a few rumors that the party was at Adam’s house, but I cant confirm that yet. Zac also posed with Bill Hader and Matthew Morrison!
Zac Efron’s salary more than North Carolina’s talent cap can handle
Yet another Nicholas Sparks film has slipped through our fingers. The production team of “The Lucky One” set up offices in New Orleans on Monday. Although Wilmington’s EUE/Screen Gems studios was a consideration, the producers officially announced they had decided to make the film in Louisiana last Friday, said Craig Fincannon, founder of local casting agency Fincannon and Associates.
High School Musical star Zac Efron signed on for the lead role of the romantic drama about a U.S. Marine who returns from Iraq to search for the young woman in a photo he had found and carried throughout his tour of duty. He finds her in North Carolina, he said.
But, North Carolina’s $1 million tax incentive cap on highly compensated individuals (actors and directors) sent the film to Louisiana, Fincannon said. Efron signed a contract for more than that amount, he said. So, the production team decided to go elsewhere.
Currently Louisiana offers film production companies a 30 percent tax incentive on any motion picture project and does not have any caps on the size of the film or talent pay, said Chris Stelly, director of Film and Television in the Louisiana Office of Entertainment Industry Development.
North Carolina offers film companies a 25 percent tax incentive and recently raised the film tax cap from $7.5 million to $20 million this past legislative session. However, the cap on talent remains at $1 million.
Last summer, Disney chose to film Sparks’ “The Last Song” starring Miley Cyrus in Georgia despite initial plans to film in North Carolina.
