    August 11, 2010   Comment (1) - Posted by Stephany

Hey guys! Last night in Los Angeles Zac and Vanessa attended the Details Magazine September Issue Launch Party to celebrate his cover. I’ve uploaded photos from the event to our Gallery. If you’ll notice a few of his “17 Again” co-stars were at the event.. Sterling Knight, Leslie Mann, and Michelle Trachtenberg.. also Adam Shankman from Hairspray. I’ve seen a few rumors that the party was at Adam’s house, but I cant confirm that yet. Zac also posed with Bill Hader and Matthew Morrison!

    The Agony of Zac Efron
    August 9, 2010   Comments (2) - Posted by Stephany

Would you believe the Charlie St. Cloud star has bigger problems than poison oak on his nether regions? Turns out, being the nicest actor in Hollywood is torture.
By Andrew Goldman, Photographs by Norman Jean Roy August 2010 Issue of Details Magazine

Zac Efron refuses to shake my outstretched hand. “Oh, dude, I can’t,” he says. “I’ve got a bad case of poison oak.” I immediately assume this is a new no-shakes-allowed alibi for the celebrity germaphobe. And at first glance, as I stand here shoulder-to-shoulder with him, at the grand host station of West Hollywood’s Soho House, it does occur to me that perhaps Efron has taken a Howard Hughes-ian turn; although he’s not shuffling around with tissue boxes on his feet, he is sporting a homeless-urban-ninja look, with a black Lacoste T-shirt under a blackhoodie pulled over his head. He’s got only one arm through the sweatshirt, and the other sleeve hangs slack like an elephant’s paralyzed trunk. Frankly, he looks kind of nuts.

It’s just before 6 p.m., and we’ve arrived to watch Game 3 of the NBA Finals, which is taking place in Boston, meaning we won’t be sitting in Efron’s regular courtside seats at the Staples Center. Efron’s publicist has supposedly arranged a private dining room in which we can eat and watch the game, but the club’s hostess is clicking around on her computer, unable to find the reservation. “Oh, maybe it’s under my name,” he offers meekly. “I’m Zac Efron.”

Zac Efron, Robert Pattinson, and Miley Cyrus Are Genuine Movie Stars
    August 4, 2010   Comments (0) - Posted by Stephany

Hey everyone! Scott Mendelson from The Huffington Post wrote the best article disputing the ridiculous piece that The Wrap put on their site yesterday.. which they emailed me about and thought I would post here on a Zac Efron fansite? Hello, no.. anyway, this article is about how Zac Efron IS a movie star, and Charlie St. Cloud did very well considering. Here’s a snippet, but go read the full article. Be sure to comment at their site and support Zac!

“.. Point being, Charlie St. Cloud is not High School Musical 3, Hairspray, or even 17 Again. It is a dark drama about grieving and loss, and it had absolutely nothing going for it other than Zac Efron’s name and face on the poster. Opening a well-marketed and appealing mainstream comedy like 17 Again to $23 million is impressive. Opening a poorly-marketed and not-terribly appealing drama like Charlie St. Cloud to $12.5 million all by yourself: You, Zac Efron, are a genuine movie star. Same goes for Robert Pattinson. Sure Remember Me ‘only’ made $55 million worldwide (on a budget of just $16 million), but that means that $55 million worth of tickets were sold completely on the shoulders of one Robert Pattinson (quick, raise your hands if you saw that one for Pierce Brosnan or Chris Cooper….?). And by all means, let’s compare the box office performance of Kristen Stewart’s The Runaways, an R-rated 70s rock biopic that never even got a wide release, with the box office run of New Moon.”

    ‘Fire’ News!
    July 31, 2010   Comments (0) - Posted by Stephany

Zac Efron Plans To ‘Live Vicariously’ Through Brian Bendis’ ‘Fire’ Adaptation – MTV
When it was announced earlier this year that “High School Musical” actor Zac Efron had signed on to star in the film adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis’ “Fire,” it’s fair to say that more than a few eyebrows were raised. Call us pleasantly surprised, however, when we learned that Efron is not only a big Bendis fan, but that he has a solid grasp on the character and can’t wait to start production on the film.

“Brian Bendis is writing a script right now,” Efron told MTV News of the “Fire” production status, while promoting his latest film, “Charlie St. Cloud.” “I don’t know when we are getting a draft exactly. But I know that he’s having a blast and Brian is one of my favorite writers. I’m really looking forward to that, we’ll see what happens.”

Efron went on to say that what he’s most excited about in tackling the character Ben — a college student recruited by the CIA who later discovers he’s been marked for termination by his employers — is the opportunity to step outside himself, along with his repertoire of boy-next-door roles.

“You know the character, he’s not afraid,” Efron said. “You know me in life I have a lot of rules. There is a lot of stuff I can’t do because I would never want to take those risks so to speak.”

“As much as I’m a thrill-seeker, I don’t really get into fights,” he explained. “I’m not a renegade kind of guy. And that’s what this character is.”

Efron added that he plans to take full advantage of his character’s edgy existence.

“I’m definitely going to live vicariously through this character,” he said. “And experience things I can’t do in real life.”
